gtscode's interior - update 03/05

Re: gtscode's interior - update 03/03

Second Skin's damplifier pro install completed with the help of Abe. Tomorrow, I think I'll just sit around, drink beer and let everyone else do some work. I'm pooped.

That's not what you wife tells me :part

Justin is aware that he has two options regarding the wheel wells. As we saw in the beginning of this post, I applied two coats of Second Skin's spectrum on the inside of the rear quarter (front area). This materials is their roll on, brush on equivilant of the foiled damplifier pro material.

On Shag, I pplied 2 coats of the spectrum throughout the wheel well on the outside surface. Outside meaning same surface as where the rear tires are. Afterwards I painted the spectrum a nice black for it dries a dark gray. This is much easier in my opinion as compared to attempting to apply Diamplifier Pro on both sides of same sheet metal. Another plus is that it gives a nice exterior coating protecting the sheet metal from future rust issues.

Justin,
Yes, we were able to make some good progress on your car. You are still far from rounding 3rd base so as long as we keep plugging along, you will be crossing home plate soon.

It was indeed fun to work on a clean car. Your car is going to rock!! big time when you get it done.

Yes, thanks to both Jeff and Abe for their donation of time on your beast. Good people !!

Abe I couldn't even tell which second skin panels you installed so that is saying a lot for the quality was that good!

Thanks buddy!

My pleasure, I didn't do too much, for I need much more training to strengthen my fingers for that stuff. The master of second skin application taught me well, and thank you right back Justin for the opportunity to learn something new.

Kids, work, new house - life just gets in the way.
That's what I thought. Ain't it amazin how three years can go by? If you're spending time with your young un in favor of your car you're making the right choice. My two daughters are 21 and 23 and I'll tell you those first 20 years go by in a flash. It's almost like they never happened. Now one's in England at Cambridge U. and next year will be heading to Boston for five years more of college. The other one still lives in the Bay Area but we rarely see her either. So my advice is to soak in those family times while you can.
