Headliner finally installed

After stretching and clipping my headliner in a few weeks ago, I finally worked up the nerve to glue the headliner last weekend, and if I do say so myself, it turned out pretty good. We'll see how well it holds up over time.

Glass next, which will go in this weekend. Starting to see light at the end of the restoration tunnel!!! bj

That does look good. Don't be fooled by that light you are seeing. The end of the tunnel never shows up. That light is just a man hole cover that tempts you to stick you head out of and get hit by another "while I'm at it" project.

Pete, I hear what you're saying, but the biggest limiting factor to "while I'm at it" projects is CA$H. With less money in the bank these days, there's definitely less chance to take on "while I'm at it" projects. I'm not so sure that's a good or bad thing.

The glass installer is scheduled this weekend, so I can finish installing the dash parts (didn't want to install the dash pad until the glass is in). If all goes well, I may even try to start up the engine this weekend!

Sure is gonna be a big PIA getting those screws on the top of the dash pad with the window installed. The trim pieces arent as bad, but those four for the pad are a beotch with the windshield in...

Wow, you did much better than I did! I bought a clothing steamer and that really seemd to help tighten the materail. I'll do much better the next time! Yes, I learned the hard way about those little screws! I still have one that I just can't get started! The other thing I kind of forgot was to mark the mirror and visor holes! I did well on the dome light, but it was kind of nervy cutting into that fresh headliner material!

I'd rather fight the screws than get that black sealer on a clean original dash pad! Hell, are those screws really even necessary... won't the trim pieces along the windshield hold the dash pad down?

when i bought my stang, the trim along the window holding the dash panel down was gone, and the screws were gone too. Looked kinda chity, but never had a problem with the pad wanting to come off. I put about 1200 miles on it that way.
