Hello all, my name is Derrick, and I am currently in New Orleans, LA, but not for long.

A little bit about myself...I am currently enlisted in the USMC, but I will be getting out soon...November, particularly. When the big day comes, I will be moving to just outside of Orlando, FL, where the Stang I am doing a bit of work on is kept.

My wife and her family moved down to Orlando a couple of months ago, and she's setting things up there while I finish out my time here.

And now the details you've been waiting for. The car I've been working on is a 93 Mustang, the last of the Fox bodies. It's got a 5.0 inside, kept completely stock. The paint is in perfect shape, everything else is in very good condition. The only things it needs to get it back on the road, battery, which has already been done, new tires, which shouldn't be too long to get a new set, and lastly it needs a new A/C compressor. After all of that, we will be ready to register it, get new plates, and then drive it around in the FL sun.

Welcome aboard Derrick, first thing is THANKS FOR YOUR SERVICE! We all can play with Mustangs thanks to you. :steer
The '93 sounds like a cream puff that will be driving in no time after your arrival.
I just returned from a family trip to N.O., rode the St.Charles street car for the first time in 15+yrs. and the French Quarter has changed (not for the better I'm afraid).
Enjoy the Fla. sun.

+1, welcome and get some pictures posted muy pronto Marine!

Thank you both for your support!

I plan on taking a few pictures this weekend, as I will be visiting the wife since I got an extended weekend thanks to scheduling. Gotta love shift work sometimes.

I forgot to mention, it's a green LX 5.0 hatch, and it still currently belongs to my mother-in-law, but if we fix it up and get it road ready, she'll be giving it to us, and we will be the ones on the registration when that time comes around.

I did also forget to mention one modification that needed to be made... The factory head unit went bad, I think some wires inside got crossed. It was pumping out static to the speakers, and adjusting any sound setting would send a pop to the speakers for some reason. Luckily, I had an old (not really) Kenwood unit sitting around collecting dust from when I pulled it out of a car I lost in a flood a little over a year ago. So I picked up a fox body install kit, and threw it in there. Works like a charm! No more static, no more popping, and I'm a happy man.

I'm leaving tomorrow morning for my trip, I'll post pictures of the Stang when I get back.

(Yes, I talk a lot...but it's hard not to when you get an opportunity like this with a car you've always loved. lol)

welcome and yes thanks for your service!!!
I also have a 93 LX vert. but it's a 4 banger...
