If anyone is bored Saturday night (the 18th)... I should be down in Spring at the Nifty Fifties. :ecit

My car club is going to meet up in Bryan and cruise down there together. Grab something to eat when we get there and then head over to the car meet, hang out, and pass out some flyers for our car show. I'm hoping to drive Gertrude all the way out there. She should do ok. I mean she did make it from Corpus all the way up to Bryan fine and that was like a 3-4hr drive.

Guess I should get off my butt and try to get Gertie's front bumper put on before then!

It's about a 30% chance of rain so the weather just might cooperate.

I'll know more later in the week if I can make it or not on Saturday..don't think we have anything going on and Nifty 50's meets about 20 minutes drive from my house.

Looks like I should be able to make it. Only question is whether or not the boys have to tag along.

They are usually interested for about an hour before they get hot / bored.

I know how that goes. My kids are the same way.

Saturday is going to be a busy day. I know the morning of the 18th, I'm taking Gertie way out to Buffalo (about an hour away in the other direction) for a small town festival/car show. Hubbys family lives in Buffalo so he wants to go and show off the mustang to his cousins. :eek:mg Then I have to be back in Bryan by 4pm to leave out with the crowd and drive down to Spring.

Gertie's going to get some mileage! :lol

I know exactly where Buffalo is.

When I was a kid both sets of grandparents lived in Waco and Buffalo is where we would turn off on 164 to cut across to Waco.

Looks like there was a date change as there were too many conflicts with club members about the 18th...

so looks like it will be Sept 25th when I go to Nifties Fifties.

Bum deal...I could probably make it over there this Saturday without the boys tagging along.

I'll probably go to the local smaller cruise in if I don't have a reason to go to Nifty 50's.

Will see what I can do about the next week.

If some of the other members are heading over there this weekend I can still show up for the record. :pop

I can't commit just yet. Have a couple of projects that should be finishing up fri/sat

Where is the smaller local cruise in?

Classic Pizza in The Woodlands.

Local car club has it every weekend from about 7 - 9 p.m. on Saturdays.

Attendance is kind of hit and miss depending on other shows in the area but you usually have at least ten cars up there...sometimes a lot more. You get a little of everything from Dodge Vipers to Classics.

I kind of like the smaller setting...you get to actually know people.

Basically, I like it because it's about five minutes from my house...what can I say, I'm lazy :ecit
