How Steep are your gears?

Currently 3.25" and wide ratio Toploader. When I bought it, it had 4.57" gears with 4sp then swapped 2.79". First, I felt like "where's the 4t gear" and then "where's the 1st gear". Dreaming of T5Z and there is one for sale with .80 5th. That would improve both 1st gear accleration and highway cruising, although on track on I am fine with 2nd, 3rd and 4th. Maybe a rebuilt and/or tougher 4sp then for my 342.
