I hereby give up my Man Card

Well, I guess I gave mine up last year. The wife, kids, and parents were heading to the beach the same day I was going down with the guys. I went out that morning, bought a Sedona, called her up and told her to take mom to go pick up Kate and come by work. Threw her the keys and told 'em to pack what they wanted so they wouldn't feel cramped. We've had it a year now and pretty much use it on the weekends and for trips. I haven't regretted it since. The wife won't give up her Camry for a DD but she won't let me take the van for my DD. Yes, I'd drive it every day. Not only can you haul a ton of stuff but I can just imagine how nice that thing would be come hunting season. Head up to the land and leave the car running while I get dressed for multiple hours of sitting in 20* weather. Not to mention the amount of gear and deer you can haul. Yes, I like our minivan and yes, I'd drive one everyday. And Mid, just wait till the punks wanna race you. Those things will move. I think it's freakin' hilarious when some unsuspecting subject wants to "race to the lane merge" and I get to look at them in the rearview mirror of the MINIVAN!!! My wife was always anti-minivan. I guess she still is for a dd but when you can throw the back seats down, put a 4 year old and a 1 year old in the middle seats and put their freakin' bedrooms in the back...the whole world can kiss my a$$.

You get to keep the card since you shoot, kill and blow up stuff!!

Thanks dude. I guess I can say I use the van as a disguise. Maybe the ultimate in irony would be to carry the S&W 500 in it.

Once you had a "mini", you aint never going back!

The things are seriously conveniant, and are good on long trips and for hauling stuff. Rides a lot better than an Explorer.

Jake, You should have your man card suspended for wanting to see pictures of a minivan! :ga

I was just simply stating that if he doesn't show it to us, it never happened. So he doesn't have to worry about it. Not that i wanted to see it.

So if I don't show you bozos a pic of the minivan, that means I don't have one and I get to keep my man card? Woo hoo!

You will be re-issued a temporary man card. It will only be temporary, because you've already admitted to purchasing the manhood-sapping vehicle.

If you go one year without driving it, you're permanent man card will be re-issued.

I shouldn't admit this but my company car (which I didn't really have a choice) is a Dodge minivan. Well, actually I did have a choice, could have had a toyota hybrid but I wouldn't be caught dead in one of those. My wife drives it when I'm home. I only drive it to the airport to leave it in the parking lot (which is good cuz it got side swiped once already and enough door dings to look like it was in a sideways hail storm). When I do drive it I immediately come home and drive the Mustang to get my dignity back! It also does NOT get to park in the garage. I have it for 4 years or 80,000 miles, I'm on 56,000 and 2.5 years. I told my wife I was going to put it on jack stands and leave it running in gear... one cool thing, if you turn off the traction control and set the parking brake, it will spin the front tires! I have been beating the crap out of it and it is surprisingly holding up.

But.....he drove it home from the dealer.......

No, SWMBO drove it home, as she doesn't like driving a stick shift.

If the wife wants a minvan, that's her choice...

The fact that you let her buy a freakin KIA should be cause for revocation though. A Korean car, really? :fail

So why is it every time I see the name KIA I only see killed in action. Is the next Korean car going to be a MIA? :nk
