STFU. Low's in the 30's at night, high's in the 40's here for 1-2 weeks, the house stays a chilly 52-54 during day and I work from home, to expensive to heat it until SWMBO comes home.

It's a nice and steamy 28 degrees here in Ohio and nice and toasty 73 in the house. I think I'll put my shorts on. :yah :sm_NTA

The fireplace hasn't been used in at least 20 years, probably not a good idea to light it up right now. Loving my electric blanket, I'm getting the feeling back in my toes.

We've been in a heat wave here in South Carolina for the last week. Been in the mid to upper 70's. It's been fabulous! :thu

In the 70's AND nice sunshine days too! It's been like an early spring, but without rain! :thu :thu :thu

Yeah, Beach Pony called me today while in his yard wearing nothing at all and with a mid 70 heat wave. Enough said.

Memphis has turned into an ice rink. School closings all over. Hoping this doesn't turn out like the ice storm in 94 that knocked power out for almost 2 weeks.

The news showed two guys in Phoenix playing hockey on a swimming pool. They weren't standing on the pool, but it is sure was frozen.

Last night when I got home at 1030pm, I thought I'd steal a peek at the pool. I've had the pump set to turn on at 1130pm and run until sunrise. Well good thing I did. Solid thin ice sheet across the entire pool. I broke it up with the broom and turned on the pump. The thermometer was saying pool water was at 36 degrees so the ice quickly melted - but tis the first time I've seen that on the pool.

This morning its fine, ice gone, but i'm ready to be done with this cold...

Its a cool 52 degrees here, Thats inside the house!
Thanks to our current admin for the high cost of electric and gas there is no turning on the heater.

Yeah, I can feel that, it was 15 degrees outside my house last night and 59 degrees inside. I have to leave the house with the heat pump running and blowing cold air otherwise I won't have any heat when I get home.

My poor F-250 diesel is suffering, too. It's in the driveway and I don't have a block heater. Who needs one in the desert? I really take my time letting it warm up, keeping the rpms below 1500. Takes about four miles before it's warmed up. I just love crawling along at 20 mph on a major road that's signed at 40, but where most people do 50.

Looks like I will be cuddling with the dogs tonight.
Temp inside is 48 and after getting the electric bill today and :puk as it has doubled!!!!
It has caused the blanket to be unplugged.

Might I suggest fleece sheets and a down comforter. Those two combined make their own heat.
