In memory of John...

I want to get to know John also.Could some one put up something that I could read or anyone could read that would let us that did not know john to have just a peak at who John was and his love for his mustangs.

Wow. It's hard to get all this kind of overview down in just one link or post. If you take a look at this post on StangFix, you can get something of an idea of what kind of person he was. I hope that helps you.

Just go on either this site or VMF (can search as a guest) and search for johnpro.....you will get all the posts back to 04 or so. Tons of "John, the person to be read. He was how he presented himself on line thru Mustangs.

This pi$$es me off that my car is back on the jackstands because of the friggin throwout bearing. I'd love to cruise in my car in memory of John, just my luck. I'll just resort to just wrenching on it for the evening, which I'm sure he'd appreciate anyways.

I have cleared this with my boss today and will drive my 68 to work tomorrow in memory of John Pro with the photo above taped to the back glass, unfortunately I will be at a mandatory meeting on a jobsite at 2pm (time difference here in Maryland) and won't be able to cruise in my car during his service, but driving my car to work is the least I can do to pay my respect for a guy that I personally didn't know but played a big part helping me as well as others get our Mustangs back on the road.

Thanks for all your help JohnPro!!

I have to travel tomorrow but I will drive out to the cemetery in the Stang and have a moment of silence for John in the morning.

It's going to be 90 degrees and humid with a chance of thunderstorms tomorrow, but I will still drive the stang to work too.

I decided to wait and reroute hoses in the engine bay tonight to tomorrow instead of driving Gertrude around.

Heading out to work at 6:00 this morning with Scary riding shotgun. Taking lunch at 2:00 (which if my math is right will be 11:00 over there) to go for a long cruise thru horse farm country.

I drove the coupe today and my favorite Mustang T shirt. I too plan to take a cruise over lunch today. Tonight I plan to spend some time in the garage.

I've cruised out there too Dale. Beautiful country. I think John would love that scenery.

I had a funny start to my day.
I took my 68 to work but had to stop at a county landfill on the way to the office to meet a subcontractor to do some electrical repairs to some above ground tanks that my company installed for the landfill. I entered the landfill driving with a little spirit and wheeled it in behind the tanks kind of hiding it from the main road. I noticed some county workers standing at the maintenance shed looking on at me wondering why a classic Mustang would be parking at the dump in a restricted area, so I jumped out quick and ran up to them and said, listen I'm hiding from the cops and only need about 10 minutes to let things calm down and I will be on my way..please don't tell on me.. The look on their faces was priceless, then one of them recognised me and I had to fess up to the real reason I had driven my car to the dump. They all thought it was very cool when I explained that I and many others across America were doing something with our Mustangs whether driving or working on them in memory of John. They spent the next half hour exchanging stories with me about the Mustangs they had and wished they still had. I generally don't have good starts to my work day so it was a nice change of pace to have fun this morning! I just wish it was under a different circumstance.

Dave.
