iPhone 4

Here's a question? Is apple going to to address the Flash issue in safari on the iPhone? Flash worked on my windows mobile AT&T tilt, but IE is clunky. Safari works great, but hates flash.

bad blood from when adobe bailed on apple for Microsoft. Steve is still pissed. Adobe listed apples lack of adoption as a threat in thier 10k.

I've had 2 iPhones and never a problem. Reception great and never a hangup. Of course, I've been a Mac guy since '85 so. . . (BTW, just to stir up the pot, I was doing Windows on my Mac 512 back then! LOL)

I have a 5 year old razor and my wife uses a Nokia that has a pull up antennae. My kids laugh at me and my wife and she hates the the abuse.
love that I pay $70 a month for unlimited minutes and I NEVER drop a call. I get reception in elevators, basemenst, places where everyone else has problems.

Iwho? It's a phone

can someone tell me when the new iphone4 OS will be available for download into the 3GS'?

"Steve, just plug your phone into itunes and itunes should prompt you that a software update is available. Click download and install. If iTunes doesn't prompt you just look at the middle of the screen and to the right it'll say "check for update" click that and it'll find the update."
That is from my daughter who works at Apple.

It sucks for the older 3g phones. Random lockups, apps(even os4 tested) blackscreen on occasion. So far, I'm not impressed.

Sounds like a lack of memory issue. Way to go Apple, porting an OS to a phone that doesn't have the cajones to run it and offering it to the public as an "Upgrade". :lol

I sometimes wish I had my old square Nokia back...you look like a homo with those things, but you can run them over with a pickup truck and leave them in the rain and they'll still work. Heck, my HTC Hermes was pretty cool (and a good phone at that) but I got sick of carrying it, even if it did beat the 3GS iPhone by 3 years. :lol

IOS 4 and 3G just don't play well. I would not upgrade a 3G.

Thanks Stan - SWMBO and kid already had upgraded when I told them about it. I don't have an iphone, I just pay for them. i've got a Motoyoyo crackpipe phone that sucks. I too wish I had my old Nokia back. it was solid....

Just heard a report on the radio that if you touch the metal antenna just right, calls get dropped. They actually demonstrated the effect.

Ooopsy-poopers!

Yep it's real for sure.

The older phones do it as well, but it isn't as bad at the 4th gen. If you hold a 3g or 3gs close to the top corners, the signal drops by a bar or two. You hold the 4 gen just right and it kills the signal almost completely. All cell phones will do this if you cover the antenna, but I've never seen one drop signal as fast and as bad as a iphone 4.

Will it stop me from getting one, doubt it. But I will wait till they drop in price a bit.
