Well...the Mustang is home. It has new front springs, new paint and disc brake conversion done. Amazing how fast those master cylinders get surface rust on them though. Will need to figure out a way to clean that off and wax it but other than that it looks pretty nice.

The interior pictures have pretty much nothing to do with the paint but since I was posting pictures anyway figured what the heck...

Pictures....

Looks great, how do you feel about it?

Happy it's home and got it all done in budget which is always nice.

For the master, clear ain't a bad idea. I could just paint it even but I was afraid the fluid would drip and eat the paint off. For my power steering, it got cruded up pretty quick after we cleaned it so I cleaned it up again and just waxed it with turtle wax. Haven't had an issue since.

Some shots of my MC, before and after. I scuffed it up with a scotchbrite pad and some sand paper. Its held up pretty well so far.

Looks like the wait was worth it. So how are the upgraded brakes? IIRC you had some brake work done while it was in paint jail right? fd

Yep, I bought the chocostang (sp?) kit to convert the front to disc and had them install it while it was there. Seems to brake pretty well but they just dropped it off this morning and haven't driven it much since I had to get to work.

Due to front springs replacement I need to get an alignment done. I can drive it a little as is but I don't want to go crazy with it either. The shop my buddy usually has do alignments for him was super busy this week due to spring break they were short handed. I'll have to take it in next week.

I to like the color choice. The car looks great. I may have missed it in other posts but what color red did you paint it?

Painted it the same color it was before.

Originally out of the factory it was some sort of Ivy Green color but somewhere along the way a PO had painted it Candy Apple red. I thought about changing the color since we were painting the jambs, trunk, etc anyway but then decided I liked the red pretty well so I decided to stay with that.
