It's Time...Yahoo!

Kelly I am going to call you to meet for lunch. We're heading for Lockart TX. I understand it has a few BBQ joints. As for NP, well we have been to most in the west a few times. Can you drive about 150? I've had my car at that speed with more available.

Sounds good! As long as it's not in December... because I'll be gone over to NC that month. Unless you're coming to NC, in which case I will see you there :p

Sadly, I cannot do 150 :( If only I put in that T5 that everyone has been telling me to put in for the past six years of my life! o_O I'll need proof yours goes 150 though... passenger seat ridealong proof!

Good for you, can't wait to join you. Not sure you want to stop back in Chicago, but lunch is yours if you want it

We too have guest quarters in Southern Utah.

Congrats, Mike!

Well its time.

After 23 years here at Lockheed and 38 years of being in the defense industry I am retiring. My last work day will be 22Dec16.

It has been quite interesting over the years being part of the last McDonnell F-4 Phantoms, the Harrier AV8-B and Flight Test in St.Louis, then on to rocket motors with United Technologies in San Jose, moving on to Satellite Ground stations with Loral in Sunnyvale, which became part of Lockheed. A short stint with FMC/United Defense in San Jose and then back to Lockheed where I have been part of the financial group reporting on the SpaceBasedInfraRedSystem program.

So it’s off to waste my time away, well mostly driving or riding the roads all over America. Joann (who is also retiring after 40 years as a RN) and I are planning driving or riding to all sorts of back roads and out of the way places we can find along with the National Parks and a few race track venues.

So if we’re in your neighborhood expect a visit.:D

Michael
Mikey,

Congrats on your career - what a run! I wish you the best and I hope some of your co-workers lied and said good things about you.

Seriously, hanging in this industry for so long says a lot about your character and drive. Once again, congrats and enjoy the downtime. I am sure you'll be busier than when you worked in retirement...

Hat's off to you..... Steve

My son is going to college to be an engineer and he really wants to work for Lockheed. I will let him know there is an opening now!
If he wants to get into Raytheon out here in Socal or in Tx, holler. Been here almost 32 years and know a few people.....

Miley,

congrats! Long time and you made it thru transitions.

God Bless you for your service and support of our WArfighters.

They could not do it without your help.

MIke:

Is there room on your front porch for the ("Get off my lawn, you punk kids") rocking chair????

LOL

Mikey:
Congrats on a new life's journey. I'll bet, though, that you woke up at the usual time and couldn't go back to sleep...right?
