I've been busy....

Permit? I need a permit? I thought I already had permission from the wife! Sometimes it's easier to ask forgiveness than ask permission. Screw the permit!

Agreed! Of course I got busted over a 12x16 storage building I built in the back yard. I cleared the plans with the "Sub-Division Architechtual Commitee" :eek:mg but didn't get a permit (even though you're required to for anything over 12' in dimension). Didn't help I wired it. A month or more after it was done, an inspector stops by and asks about my permit for it. Someone had complained it was too close to the line. Pretty sure it was the J/A three doors down I've had some issues with over a barking dog, but I digress. Long story short, I had to apply for the permit, the inspector was cool and just made me do a few fixes (did it all to code when I built it) and it passed. Now I just give that neighbor a one finger wave when we pass.

Great job on the work Dave. I'll have to head down that way soon (you know between the birth of a child, getting Jen back up on her feet, working, and trying to find time to work on the Mustang) and give it an official inspection over a beer.

Great work Dave.

I'm going to try and make a trip to the US towards the end of the summer and will call by again.

We are technically supposed to submit plans, etc in my neck of the woods.

However, when I put up a storage building in the back yard of the old house I just put it up and said screw em. They never said a word. It was professionally built and was even painted to match the house and plenty of other folks in the area had a similar building so what could they really say.

Looking good Dave, carry on and keep up the good work.
