Johnpro Continues To Assist Mustangers

I had sent Jim Smart the various links to the threads about Johnpro and it really touched him. He just told me that he has been inspired by John's story to get to work on his 1967 and finally finish it. He has been "working" on his car for more than 20 years, mainly because he keeps helping everyone else, but also because he was reluctant to bring it out and show it off. He said I could post this on Stangfix and I think it's a great tribute to John's spirit that he still is helping people with their cars.

That is cool. It seems several have had this push to work and get their cars on the road or get thru a difficult job and move on. It almost seems that one could publish a book of John's posting and it could reside on every Mustang builders garage across the world. So much good info and inspiration.

Also the idea of asking people who couldn't drive to work on their cars during the service might have inspired them to continue on. If this little kick in the pants helped out, then John would be very proud.

In addition to inspiration, the knowledge-base he provided here and on VMF will serve as a wonderful legacy which legions of Mustang owners in the future will benefit from. It's a gift which never stops giving.

A johnpro wiki, perhaps...?

Laurie- How about suggesting to Jim Smart that MM do a feature on Scary and the story behind the man behind the car?
I bet a good percentage of MM readers are also web users and may very well be familiar with "johnpro". And the car rocks whether you know John or not.

On a different note, another website I frequent (pelican parts) has a persistent link/tribute for Warren Hall, a man of similar stature to John but in the online community of air-cooled Porsche's as opposed to Mustangs. Like John's posts, Warren remains of tremendous help to thousands and was also taken away from us too soon. You can see that link on their landing page here:

I already have and he's interested. I'll need help with the information and photos. Let's put something together.

Yes, Laurie, lets do it! Tell Jim hi for me. anything I can do to help let me know.

Probably the best person to get info from is Sacbill.
