Late Introduction.....

Sorry to be so late with some info about Ol Blue but shortly after finding this Form I lost my Dad to Cancer. I have been doing some lurking to try to keep my mind off things and spending a lot of time with Family and such. So I just wanted to introduce myself and share a bit about my youngest son’s 16th Birthday Present. After doing some research and a bunch of searching the Wife and I found a 67 Coupe that had some serious potential. After hiding it in a neighbor’s garage and a lot of planning it was presented to him at a local weekly Car Show. He had no idea he was getting it as we had many appointments (all made up appointments’ to throw him off) the week following his Birthday. With help from the Mgr/Owner of the Restaurant we had set up a plan to have him just so happen to have a winning raffle ticket, raffle tickets are called out every 30 minutes. The prize was a small box wrapped in hamburger paper. He and his older brother went in to get what he thought was a free Root Beer Float or something along those lines. We sent big brother in with him so that he would not open his funny little box until he came back outside so that Family and Friends were able to watch him open it. Needless to say he was quite blown away when in this box was the keys to his new Car. It was a special night for a Special Kid.

first let me say sorry to hear about the cancer, my mom lost her battle almost 12 years ago and it is still hard some days but it does get easier to focus on the good memories and put the loss more in the back of your mind.
Second, great choice (67 Coupe!),
third, can you adopt me?
and finally welcome, thanks for sharing and that is a really cool way to surprise your son! :good

All that I can say is that you have one lucky kid. Also I cannot think of a better year or model, however I can think of a better color. :nk
