Leaf Spring Cut Off Made Easy

I bought a 6 inch cutting wheel and took the guard off put on goggles and gloves. It took maybe 6 minutes done.

The 4 inch wheel is not big enough.

Car was on stands
U bolts taken off
Axle jacked up

One side at a time, I just have to wait to buy springs this next week. Maybe Monday.

I already had the angle grinder but I only had 2 4 inch wheels and I used them on the outside end of the rubber bushing. The inside edge was a different story and the wheel had to be bigger. I found the 6 inch at ACE with the smaller hole. It was perfect.

I pounded like...oh...3 times and thought "yeah right, LOLOL" , now where is that grinder?

I used a torch on one side and after catching the rubber on fire, making a big mess and lots of smoke I decided there must be a better way. I found as you did that I needed a bigger cut off wheel.

Now I know why it took me so long with a 3" wheel.

So....you jacked up one side and couldn't get that white wall off there..................
