That daycare job I interviewed for yesterday... well I just got a call and they hired me! :ecit

I'll be working in the toddler room Monday-Friday and the best part is they super cool with the hours and my schedule. I get to work from 8:30am-5:30pm which gives me time to get my own children to school. They are also cool with letting me use my lunch break to go pick up my daughter from school, drop her off at home and go back to work. My son rides the bus so no worries about him getting home.

SCORE!!! :vic

The fun part. I have to get CPR certified since mine ended LONG ago, and fingerprinted. :amaz
 
Great news.....look out Gertrude..... Do they mind that you monitor the net so much?
 
Great news. And don't worry about the finger prints. Mine have been in the FBI files since '78 and they haven't caught me yet. :vic

That's because your prints are mared with cheetos & lube.
 
Congrats on the job! So I suppose the cool pictures and links you put up are going to slow down now? :cry I guss it is a sacrifice we all have to make as you go back to work.

Congrats Kat, its great that they will work with your schedule so you can still be there for you kids. Let us know if you need help in spending your new earnings. :$$$ :)
 
Congratulations!, I also have been fingerprinted for a job once,(sub bus driver) and once for suspect in grand theft auto--(many years ago-lol) good luck.

Well today was a hectic first day. Got there at 8:30a... lunch from 12-1:15p. Did the job thing for 45min then had to leave again at 2p because I had a 2:20p appt to get my fingerprints done. Well got there, and no one was in the office! :po There were a few others who had appts ranging from noon to 1:40p and the office never opened so we all left. Went back to work. Left again at 3:20 to go get a replacement social security card before they closed at 4p.

I am so tired. :lol
 
Do you need a volunteer to learn how to change diapers? I'm more than willing to donate my services...
 
Ok I figured out this daycare thing... is not going to work for me. I have a bad impuslive side. I didn't think it all the way through. Taking care of my own kids was one thing... but being there dealing with other peoples children... not my thing. I told them sorry, but I just can't do that job. I'm going to stick to what I know.. working at a vet clinic.
