Malware notice

It was likely hosted elsewhere which will give the warning here also because of being hot linked.

What I have seen, or was discussed is that somehow an add will have that crap attached to it. As soon as the powers that be find out about it they do everything possible to clean it up. Maybe I will stop by in a few days to see what was said in the mod forum.

I didn't get it here. I got it over on vmf. They have said before that it was attached to an ad when it happened before.

So is it safe to go over there now, as long as I don't click on any ads? I don't know much about this stuff.

Frank

I guess you don't have to click on an ad to catch a virus. I was just surfing over there and caught a trojan. It was not purdy.

Unless you like Linux, then they are quite similar.

I used them when i worked at Rice. They are ok once you get used to them.

I grew up IBM. Still have my DOS 2.x books somewhere, along with a bunch of Novell Netware stuff. (Heck, I even go back to the Ti-99/cassette tape days...) I actually fought AGAINST using Windows for quite a while- damn gimmicky graphics stuff - give me text! :roul Shoot, If there's EVER demand for 30-yearold knowledge of Basic, Fortran or COBOL, I'm covered.

Bought my first Mac 2 years ago. The iMac, a power cord, keyboard and mouse. That's it. Plugged in, running, connected and on the web in UNDER 5 minutes. Zero issues since. IF this is the dark side, I'll never go back to the light again.... :no Took me longer to configure the windows-based printer than anything else.

No real learning curve... In fact I'd consider it more of an UNlearning curve. :wth I STILL find myself doing things "the hard way" occasionally, then my daughter will say "watch this" and show me how easy things are (photos & music especially). :wor

If I didn't have to use this stupid windoz only software with key, I'd be back to Macs faster than a PT.

Macs are ass backwards? You do not have to go to the "start" menu to shut down a mac...

Hell...I go back to the days of the abacus. The only viruses they had were the real ones!

You sure you didn't invent the abacus? Or draw them on cave walls?
