I'll add to this thread later, but here's a cool photo of my son (Tim) clowning around while we were out in the man cave last weekend.

Sure, NOW you find a working camera, but when there's half-nekked women around................. :nta

I'm a little surprised, that you of all people, would let him have his pants sagging down that far...

LMAO. Duly noted. Oddly, I didn't notice his shorts that low until I saw the picture. He's not one of those youngsters that walks around with his boxers hanging out. I believe what happened was his shorts were wet and the weight was pulling them down lower than he normally wears them. We had just returned from gathering some items from the attic of my brother's storage building and it was likely 130+ degrees up there.... and I made him go up there and hand all of the stuff down to me.... he was up there almost 2 hours and soaked with sweat when he came down.

Your son's droopin drawers reminds me of the American Idol song "Pants on the Ground". My 2 yeaer old daughter can sing it which is pretty damn funny as well.

Do you have a photo of your son driving a 'vert or a bike and wearing the helmet? I'd like to see that. :lol

With my new man cave 98% done we decided to throw a party last weekend. It worked out great as the weather turned to rain. Where we'd normally be outside throwing horse-shoes and then sitting around the fire pit, the rain forced everyone inside.

Back in March I built this 20x24 "wing" onto the existing 26x28 garage/shop. I also added a 10x12 storeroom onto the backside of the existing building. The storeroom has worked out great as it has allowed me to get a lot of the crap out of the garage and has freed up a lot of floor space.

Pictures....

Here's an exterior shot of the new wing/man cave on the RH side of the building. Our fire pit is visible out front.

The first guests started playing pool. This is a cheap pool table that I couldn't pass up. I've got my eyes open for a better one.

A mom getting her daughter started early.....

Drinkers....

There are at least a dozen neon/beer signs that when all turned on negate the need for the recessed lighting.

Just below Joe's elbow is a kegerator. FYI, a keg of beer goes a LONG way. I'm still drinking draft beer... and probably will be for the next couple weeks!

I somehow always manage massaging this girl. This time it was her feet. WTF? My buddy is seen trying to join in.

As the crowd got drunker the girls migrated to the pole. This girl earlier in the night stated that if she had one more beer she wouldn't be able to drive home and would probably end up dancing on the pole. Being a gracious host I offered to drive her home after the party.

I like how the reflective arrow signs "light up" from the camera's flash.

This clown was showing the ladies how it's done.

And then my drunk younger brother.

All in all it was a good party. Everyone had a great time and all got home safe. I still have a few things I'd like to finish off in the room. I need to install carpet onto the raised dance floor around the pole. I need to hide some of the exposed electrical cords from all of the signs with conduit. And I need to figure out what I'm going to use for bar tops. The tops of the bars are presently 3/4" MDF. My plan is to pick up some 4x8 sheets of aluminum diamond plate, but I'm still exploring other options.

WOW, thats pretty awesome. When my kids finally move out of the house I'm planning on "man caving" the game room upstairs. Right now it's video games and a music room. I only have 2 years to plan... must. have. pole. :)

Nice cave.

I would recommend forgetting about the diamond plate for use as a bar top...unless you like cleaning up slipped drinks all night long. You need to use a material with a flat, smooth surface. If you really want to use the plate, you could always put a top sheet of tempered glass over it to keep the "look". Face the edge with some kind of trim to hide it. Be kinda expensive depending on size needed, though.

must. have. pole.

Exactly what I like to hear. When discussing poles with guys at the bar/office/anywhere in general the conversation always turns to "my wife would NEVER get up there and dance around a pole". Trust me buddy, from my experience with the right amount of alcohol and the right song your wife WILL be up there. I had this conversation recently with my two sons while were installing the pole. "Dad do you really think girls are going to use this thing?" "Trust me boys, I know what I'm doing".

I honestly don't expect anyone to actually strip at one of our parties..... okay, my wife might..... okay, my wife will, but it's still fun to see the girls up there having fun. I believe that the girls actually enjoy it more than the guys.

Yes, I've thought of this and it's the main reason I haven't acted yet. I'm also looking at trimming the tops perimeter with a 3/8" raised lip, laying articles like beer caps, funny bumper stickers, etc., onto the top and then pouring in a clear urethane. Still contemplating.

you might consider copper plate or take it up a notch and put brass sheeting in there. You could engrave it along the way to document the events as you make history!
