brass sheeting

We discussed copper, but due to the expected cost rejected that idea, but brass sheeting is now added to the list of consideration.


I want to get a better look at the sheets of AL diamond plate though. As I remember them they were more of an ornamental metal.... similar to what's used to manufacture those cheap truck bed tool boxes. 4X8 sheets were priced at $68 and I don't believe the "diamonds" were raised enough to cause a spillage problem. I should have looked closer at them to see if they were thin enough to bend on a brake.

Yes, I've thought of this and it's the main reason I haven't acted yet. I'm also looking at trimming the tops perimeter with a 3/8" raised lip, laying articles like beer caps, funny bumper stickers, etc., onto the top and then pouring in a clear urethane. Still contemplating.

I like this idea. I've seen some interesting counter tops done that way. Easy clean up and maintenance, and the cost would be low.

Exactly what I like to hear. When discussing poles with guys at the bar/office/anywhere in general the conversation always turns to "my wife would NEVER get up there and dance around a pole". Trust me buddy, from my experience with the right amount of alcohol and the right song your wife WILL be up there. I had this conversation recently with my two sons while were installing the pole. "Dad do you really think girls are going to use this thing?" "Trust me boys, I know what I'm doing".

I honestly don't expect anyone to actually strip at one of our parties..... okay, my wife might..... okay, my wife will, but it's still fun to see the girls up there having fun. I believe that the girls actually enjoy it more than the guys.

Oh my goodness!! With all the skankzilla friends I have, the party would be at my house every wednesday, friday and saturday. I have a margarita machine so good times would definitely be had!! It's kinda like karaoke, can't do it and my friends can't either.. but sure do have a damn good time trying!!
