maybe another project?

I had a friend come over; he has a Shelby Cobra(a nice one!), he asked me If I'm going to do another project~ at one time I swore "never again", but now, I find myself kind of looking, but something not in as bad a shape as "Wingnut" my current mustang was. I found this '68 fastback and spoke to the man~ very nice person. I thought the paint had been done judging by the photos, but he said it was crap and needed paint, and both lower quarters; floor pans are ok(I'd be the judge of that). I'd have to sell my '57 chevy first of course to buy this. I'm just shopping and not terribly serious, but I have much more knowledge and think I could complete another project much more quickly and do a better job by far! So, I'm just playing with the idea right now. I love my '57, but would love 2 classic mustangs in my garage!

keep chevy or not

The chevy is very pleasing to the eye! Actually I'm kind of torn on my idea of selling it for another project. There is always plenty to do to it and my mustang~ it's a neverending scenario with the classics! I do like the fact I can carry 6 people if need be in the chevy as it's quite cavernous! lol oh well, believe me, it gets a many lookers going down the street as my mustang! If I had a larger shop~ I'd keep everything, but alas, maybe that keeps me from gathering too many toys!

Keep the 57 and enjoy what you have for a bit. Once you have done that one of the cars will become your favorite and then think about it.

I told SWMBO the other day I need some mustang time and when done repairing the paint on hers, (my F-up) and doing the custom interior and paint on ED I still wanted to do two more projects.

One will be my daily driver as it will be a 4x4. Has to be from the 40-50s vintage though and the other a roadster since I like ragtops. She doesn't like ragtops, so don't know what or even how often it will be driven.

Right now I have my hands full and will just have to concentrate on what I have.

I may buy her a new Jeep and do the Excursion! that would be cool too.

Only you can be the judge, I can tell you now that you are done with wingnut you miss the work time, transform that to drive time, get into autocross or something. We get tired of not having something to work on, so we have to replace that need with something.

Heck I even toyed with finding a 67/8 FB body and using Captain America for a donor...SWMBO is not sure how to feel about that. She wants one, but....I also thought of a 66 vert for a daily driver with V8 explorer AWD drivetrain for a daily driver since we get snow. SWMBO wants a 67 Camaro to match her 67 coupe. Heck maybe a camaro body from Dynacorn with an AWD S10 drivetrain with the 4.3? Who knows, one at a time.

When you feel like selling one of the cars get it out and drive it like you stole it and the feeling goes away!

Ok, I just need to stay off of Craigslist! there are so many "deals" ha ha, but it is fun to shop, just keep thinking I'll find that barn find or someone wanting to get rid of something they have no clue as to what they may have! I guess I'll keep my '57~ not many people have a couple neat classics!
thanks,
