Unbelieveble!!

That dude in Australia , sorry but I can't get that dude !!!
I think he has a backyard with trees full off money.

If there is alot of money involved , I would regroup all those guys who lost their money and haunted them down !!!!!!!!!!

Ya know, everyone across the web made/makes fun of our boy Nick :nick but he had one thing right... There sure are a lot of easy marks out there in the Eleanor crowd!

There are easy marks in all crowds. Ecars are/were only a percentage of the types of cars built at MemoryLaneClassics.

One of our forum members here.... Lep17.... is mentioned in that thread. As I recall, Lep17 had a FB in NC that Duane helped rescue from an unscrupulous Mustang builder only to have the car transported to MemoryLaneClassics where it's now in the hands of another unscrupulous builder. Has Lep gotten his car? Or is it still at MLC?

I dont want to say too much because Lep17 might not want me to.... But he contracted MLC to build a high spec Eleanor style car for him 18-24 months ago. Air suspension, Right hand drive, Modular engine, etc etc....the car was supposed to be delivered some time last year but he still does not have it. Luckily he went out there a few weeks ago to check on progress and the car is 95% complete. The car is still at MLC as of yesterday and I know he is trying to get it out of there at the minute.

And the plot thickens....its starting to sound worse than UP...This was posted by a former employee.

That's too bad. I hope the owners get what they deserve.

On another note, where do these customers come from? I own a shop that builds usually one street rod per year that is around $150,000. Most of my other jobs fall in the $10-20,000 range, with a few that run in the $50-60,000 range. My jobs do well in many shows, large or small. I've had cars in SEMA and take many top awards. I could build on hell of an eleanor or any other car for the money these guys are spending.

Doug,
These guys had there cars advertised on ebay for a long time. I remember chatting with Dave S. about the price they were charging for the spec car they were advertising and we came to the conclusion that it didn't make sense!!! The parts on these cars comes to $50-$60k, throw labour and profit into the equation and that leaves very little when they are asking $80k for a car.

How much do you reckon you would charge for a full blown Eleanor with all the trimmings?
