Merry Christmas!!! -- Where and How are you Celebrating?

Merry Christmas to all!

I'm celebrating by visiting my wife's family in Santa Barbara.

How's everyone else spending their Christmas?

Here in Panama City, with our daughter and her two, 13 and 15 yr. olds. We actually did most of the Christmas today because this is the year their Dad has them for the 25th. I am stuffed. He is local so it is not to bad. We will relax on Fri and carefully open a WE gift.

Tomorrow morning the wife and I open presents together then we head to her parents and do Christmas with her family.

We will then be heading to Chicago to spend the weekend with my family.
All my brothers and sisters and their families get together there.
Everyone lives in different states so we don't see each other often.

I am just hoping the weather cooperates so we can make it there safely tomorrow evening. Still getting sleet here.

I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!

The inlaws came out to our house today. They live about 30 minutes away. We went to lunch for Mexican food then came home and had cake / coffee and watched the boys play on the X-box they bought them for Christmas.

Tomorrow we are going to my Mom's house but she only lives about 5 - 10 minutes away. The boys don't know it yet but my step dad called and asked the other day if he could get them a bb gun. It's just a red ryder type but they are totally not expecting it and will be very happy about it.

Just got done with my "Santa duties" and decided to check in. The boys have been tracking Santa on the Norad site all evening in between xbox games, LOL!

Daughter/son-in-law had supper here in Maquon Il. with the wife, grandaughter, and I, then we went to east peoria to see the festival of lights park display, then back to our house to play a couple of games then opened one gift, rest in the morn after I fix breakfast for all---grandaughter was doing santa tracking also. Merry Christmas to all.

We are at my in-laws in the mountains of Arizona. Lots of snow and should reach 12F tonight and a balmy 28F tomorrow. Nice place to hang for Christmas.

We are heading to Michigan in the morning to spend the day with my oldest son who had a stroke 3 weeks ago. He is in an agressive therapy ward to try and regain use of his whole left side. We are going to just spend the day with him and his family there to try and make it more plesant for him.

Spent tonight at the inlaws. The wife is at midnight mass, doing her choir thing, and I'm spazing out on pc games. Then we get to take a 6 hour round trip to my folks, with a large dog in tow.

Flying to Phoenix tomorrow. My wife drove down there earlier this week to get extra time with the grandbabies. We'll drive back together before new years'.

Neither the SWMBO or I have close family, so we're just hanging out at home. I'll probably continue working on my efi wiring harness. I'm just trying to finish it up, and get it back in the car. If I get that done, there's tons of other projects on the fastback that I can start.

Deb and I are at home by ourselves (all other family is in Florida), might do some work on the 66 after I dig out and get the primary furnace running again (intake & exhaust pipes covered by a snow drift). With the wind blowing, it'll be an "inside" day!

Woke up this AM and found the rear fence (put up by the neighbors before we moved in) had blown off! We had a good storm last night, so we had to try and put it up as best as we could, slogging through mud and dealing with completely rotten wood. Not fun.

We're hosting Brunch tomorrow here so today will be setting up for tomorrow. Some of the other posts referencing cold weather reminded me of an ice storm in Missouri from 3 years ago. This shot is from a friend's house looking down the driveway through the frozen trees...pretty spectacular and very cold!!!

All of our family are far off except the in-laws. They are here. Rib roast is in the oven.
They are watching :ga movies, so I'm lurkin on SF and tending to needy Mustangs in the garage.

Yesterday we dropped across the front lawn/driveway a 110' gum tree. We managed to get all of the small limbs hauled off and the rest sliced and diced and ready for stacking on the woodpile.

I spent the entire day today.... from 9 AM til 5 PM hauling all of the sliced up firewood off of the front lawn and stacking it on the woodpile..... in the rain/drizzle..... using a wheelbarrow that is about one more 150# log away from literally disintegrating. The sliced sections from the base of the tree barely fit in the wheelbarrow and were too heavy for me to lift. I had to lay the wheelbarrow on it's side, roll the log into the wheelbarrow and then use my legs to stand the wheelbarrow upright again.

What a wonderful day!
