Merry Christmas!!! -- Where and How are you Celebrating?

We celebrated at home, the inlaws came over as well as my brother and his GF. The kids played with their toys, I made omelets and bagels for everyone and prime rib for lunch/dinner, then we all watched Mall Cop. It was one of the most relaxing, nice Christmas' I can remember. Now, everyone to bed early! Merry Christmas all!

Well my family is from Cuba, so we celebrate Christmas with cooking a pig.

My brother named it Wilbur at the slaughter house. We usually get a female, that is usually brown or black pig. This one weighed 90 pounds.

This is just marinating the pig with oranges, lime, garlic, onions, oregano, salt, and very small amount of pepper. We go big on the marinade.

This is after 8 hours in the barbecue. We had about 20 people at the house and still had enough for seconds. My grandfather said we did a great job and this is the only way a pig should be cooked.

This year the pig had a little bit more fat than usual. So we had fire on the charcoal, but we created a fat catcher. So problem solved.
My grandfather said that he has taught us well, that he could kick back and watch us. That won't happen. :craz
