Wasilla is finally getting some of the volcanic ash Mt. Redoubt is spewing :expl. Good thing it isn't driving weather yet or I'd be upset.
 
I remember the last time it blew in 1992. I worked that summer after my freshman year of college for Nye Toyota in Anchorage as a detailer. That was a huge mess. I hope it isn't that bad for you guys this time.

I can also remember as a kid when St. Helens blew. We had a couple inches of ash over in Spokane.
 
Damn Darreld, you had ash everywhere. I was in Nome working the last time she blew. It's not really an ash though, it feels like sand.
 
I'm a magnet for ash I guess. I live close to St Helen's now and am just waiting for her to blow again. I'll be up in AK in late May or early June so save some of the fun for me.
