My son bought a Honda

my oldest son bought a 94 Prelude. It's been modded with the typical stuff, cold air intake, header, off-road exhaust (they don't have to pass emissions in KY). He already brought it over to work on it. needs a water pump and we have to remove the whole front of the engine :char

When I was in high school, I borrowed my aunt's 88 Prelude for a dance date. It had all wheel steering.... really fun to park. Heh heh!

this one does not have that but my son was hoping it did when he was looking for one.

Honda + fart can muffler= most annoying sound in the universe

Craig, keep the underlined (above) in mind when you have the urge to be a prankster against your son.

This will all make sense in a couple days :thu

Better take care of that rust. I can tell you from experience that its much worse than it looks.
yes, the car is from Indiana so it spent some time in the salt cover winter roads. My son bought it from a Fort Campbell Army guy.

I had a '96 Si for a few years, 5sp. comfortable commuter (seats especially), made my own fresh air pipe with K&N cone which helped hwy MPG a little with little sound change. Don't wait until 105K mi. to change the TB, especially when your commute stops in N.O. morning rush hour traffic when turning on the AC gives a 'pop' sound....had all the parts to change it in the garage but put it off. Luckily it's a non-interference engine, back running in a weekend. I had the digital dash which was cool but the wife couldn't tell if the fuel was empty or full by the lighted bars, go figure.
I sold it to a younger kid post Katrina before moving from La., with the promise he would not add a fart can...

this one came with new water pump, timing belt & gaskets. The seller couldn't get the harmonic balencer bolt out (neither can we). My impact gun won't budge it and my cheater pipe on the breaker either.
It has the digital dash too I think. Looks like a nice little car. It has extra braces on the strut towers even in the rear, the typical header and cold air intake as well as a big Fart Can!

Eh don't knock it. I've owned one since 2009.
How do you like it? My son just picked up a low mileage '09 Silverado today as well... Its a good thing as he won't be anoying us with his "dual fart can" '01 Monte SS anymore...

I actually traded a GMC Canyon for it. It's a 07, as I didn't want a big nasty payment.

doesn't heat expand the bolt? I have used heat on areas around bolts before...

Heat the bolt and then let it cool. Heating the bolt is easier and more effective than trying to heat the balancer, plus there may be rubber on the back side of the balancer holding the inner and outer halves together (Honda sometimes uses this type and sometimes doesn't). Obviously you are correct that heating the bolt expands it, but it also breaks up anything that might be preventing it from loosening. Once cooled, it should come right off.

Its been a good truck. I've put 50k miles on it with no issues. 07.5 crew cab, 1lt trim, 4.8 and 4 spd trans. If his has any engine with afm, keep an eye on the oil. They have a bad habit of consuming oil and screwing up the piston rings. Most folks I've talked to buy a tuner and disable afm.

WTF is this, a Chevy forum?? and where's Craig to bitch about NON MUSTANGS?
