New (to me) DD

I thought I read that Toyota had some real issues with rust and truck frames. Was that a thing of the past or just an issue with a particular model at some point?

Don't worry Duane, you can drive it too. You just need to bring your arse over here.

Watch what you say. According to some I have trouble with a coupe. Who knows what would happen with a real car.

Nice color Sluggo! Nice looking ride. But you need to upgrade those tires. Way too small for that large of vehicle IMO.

Looks good - the son-in-law just bought the brother to that truck, except in silver.
Found an 07 on a dealer lot with 14k miles... Talked to the original/only owner - an 83 y/o man who traded it for a new F150. :thu

Good thread to make a bloke cry.
I have had 10 Hilux's and its time for #11, but i want something bigger.
I had a look at the Tundra in Hawaii and its perfect, but we dont get them in OZ.
The Landcruiser doesnt come as a dual cab, only a wagon that you have to cut up and extend the chassis.
The local Toyota dealer is bringing some Tundras in and he can do one in a dual cab 4wd with E85 5.7L V8, 6 speed auto, lift kit, extended chassis with 6'6" aluminium tray, bullbar & winch, converted to LPG & RHD for ONLY 105k.
Lot of money for a work truck.
Will be available around Xmas.

Nice ride for a toy ota. Hehehehe

Toys not allowed in my driveway.

So sorry.

Now all it needs is a S/C and TRD cold air kit and a small 75 shot of NOS
Nice truck! Especially like that color.

But then it would have more ponies than the stang. Can't have that.....

You read correctly. Seems to be mainly Tacomas from the land up yonder.

From 95.5 to 2000 year models Toyota buys them back unless the owner wants it repaired. 2001 to 2004 get new frames, springs, lca, etc. They replace all kind of parts that are not really related to the frame but make replacing the frame easier for the tech doing the job.

Beautiful, just Beautiful!

I love Toyota trucks, but I just sold my Stock '86 Toyota Turbo 4x4 to a guy up in Canada. I've been outta action on the Mustang forums 'cuz I've been on the TFFN (Falcon Forum) since I replaced my Toy with a '61 Falcon Ranchero basket case. Now I come back and find threads related to trucks, and mine is without an engine right now... and what's this a Falcon as COTM??? Man, I shouldda just stayed on this forum!

If she is wants, I'll hook her up, we have a very active Lone Star Land Cruiser chapter in the Dallas area. In fact we have our yearly "Round up" next weekend. -Mark
