Do you wet sand a paint like that? I'm curious as to sanding a metallic paint. Is it done?
 
yes, everything i do here gets color sanded & buffed. i sand it with 2000 grit & do my buffing in three stages at low rpm, which is the trick to get swirl free jobs. the biggest problem with buffing high metallics is too many rpm's, which heats up the paint & causes the flake to shift.
 
Wow that looks good. What did you use for the cup holders on the center console? I've been trying to find something like that.
 
cupholders are from a boat supply store. i'm not sure exactly where these came from. i still have a small rear console to finish so i'll look & see what the mfg co is & let you know.
