No more fuel leak, now I'm pissed....

.....that I'm running out of excuses to fire up shag.

With Abrahams help, I installed a Holley dual feed inlet and once I torqued down and fired it up, no fricken leak. I will say there was no comparison between the previous Mr. Gasket and the newer Holley dual inlet feed rail. The holley was much softer so it was more flexible and ended up conforming to the various imperfections. Whereas the Mr. Gasket was very stiff and would not budge or flex.

I owe a thanks to Abraham for being there, to ensure to right vibes were in line. We kept cranking the motor over and no spewing, no dripping, no nada.

Oh yeah......

All that playing and just 1 spark away from running......what a shame. Is this the way you represent The Fix????

Well I for one sure understand the apprehension. I kept making excuses for weeks on firing up my fastback. After I finally did though you couldn't wipe the grin off my face and I wondered what all the hubbub was about. Just do it Craig, you'll be glad you did.

I think someone needs to turn in his "MAN CARD" until he grows a set and fires it up!!! :vic

I still don't see any teflon tape on those threads. I'll make sure to keep an eye on it, though, and let you know when you light up! :lol

Supposedly, today is the day he adds spark to the equation, and actualy burns some gas in that thing. So, I guess we can hold off the man card repossesion until 12 midnight :lol :lol

It was a honor to be present for Shag's Holley fuel inlet swap, a big thank you goes out to Craig for having me present.

Shag looks great, and seems to be pretty much ready to get fired up, no need to rush things though, you all know how we do in Cali, we savor every moment to its fullest.

Hey,
Who TF cares ( just kidding) if nothing is leaking. If it leaks later on, I'll address it. Nice to first attempt to follow the instructions.

*edit-BTW, I wasn't trying to sound too short. Sorry if it sounded so.

If I do encounter a leak I will use Permatex's aircraft thread sealant.

You know I'm just ribbin' ya Craig. If you can get it to seal without the Teflon tape, you're a better man than me!!!
