Barely over 3 about 10-12 days ago, now $3.69--I heard because a couple refineries were closed for maintenance---yeah right.--I had to laugh at one guys post---why not just pass out sandpaper condoms at the pump??

We are jumping a little everyday too. I paid $3.79 yesterday, but that was for premium. Regular is now $3.49 and I just got a text alert its going up again tonight. Still beats the $5 a gallon in LA that I saw on the news this morning. Ouch.

Up about .20 over the last few weeks around here ( the local paper this morning said it was because of turmoil in Europe :jerk )

Increased by 30 cents here in Jacksonville over the last week. My wife and I have the same response of "Damn Obama" everytime we drive past a gas station.

$3.69 - $3.79 around here depending where you might be.

I read something locally where they blamed some down capacity due to maintenance but also that they were making changes at the refineries to switch over to summer blend. So I got to thinking. It is the first week of February and they are switching to summer production. That means there must be AT LEAST a three month supply of gas already made, right? So it brings up the age old question of why the minute ANYTHING happens that could remotely be blamed for an increase in oil/gas cost do we see it appear at the pump? By their own admission they already have a three month supply produced at lower cost. It's such a load of BS. I sure wish I could get away with that type of crap in my business.

I would also like a chance to have someone explain to me why gas price is so high here compared to most other locations. Refining is very close as compared to many locales. Even with possible tax differences we still seem to be anywhere from 30 to 50 cents higher on average.

Still free at the local WalMart parking lot around here, but you have to provide the hose for siphoning.

And it helps if you know the difference between a fuel tank and a grey water tank!

It's $3.32 a gallon here in Las Vegas. I'm here on vacation all week. O0

Craig:

That local Chevron station here were you filled up at 3.79 a couple of weeks ago is now at 4.15 and climbing daily.

I don't hear anyone bitching about Obama like they did with Bush. surely it can't be Bush's fault this many years later!

The difference is, those of us in the 53% know it's not the POTUS that sets the price of fuel. Therefore, we don't blame the office for the rise and fall of gas prices. It's supply & demand with a little collusion thrown in ;^)
