The difference is, those of us in the 53% know it's not the POTUS that sets the price of fuel. Therefore, we don't blame the office for the rise and fall of gas prices. It's supply & demand with a little collusion thrown in ;^)

Total agreement here. The Middle East flame up lately has the markey jumping on oil and the oil companies just look for ANY volitility for an excuse to hike up their profits.

Don't forget the commodities traders play a role in all of this. You know, the guys who sit at the Commodities Exchange and buy and sell the rights to petroluem without actually seeing, touching, or adding anything of value to the commodity on their way to making 7+ figures a year............WTF is wrong with that picture?

We are at $1.47AU for 95 octane Unleaded so $6.94USD for a metric gallon of 4.54litres or $5.78USD for a US gallon of 3.78litres.
Lucky i only pay 0.69cAU per litre for LPG

Deal here in Lihue is at Costco - regular unleaded for 4.159/gallon + aloha spirit!
Other local brands (76, shell, chevron) at 4.659/gallon. Diesel at 4.959/gallon.

$3.98 for regular here, $4.30 for Diesel. Figures, this happens every year this time. About 2 weeks before my Florida vacation. I'll be putting about 3500 miles on during peak gas prices :roul

This time of year is not peak around here. We're usually enjoying some of the lowest prices. Just as summer approaches is when the prices always shoot up. Doesn't bode well for us.
