The paint on my 66 coupe[springtime yellow, looks to be just one coat on top of original paint]is kind of chipping/spiderwebbing,not in a real bad way, but enough to warrant some attention. I just want a quick fix until I am ready to prep it properly. I thought just a few passes with some rattle can clear coat would help?? Any advice is appreciated...Thanks, Lenny :vic

I don't believe there is a "quick fix" for this problem.
I'd just leave it alone until it's time for re-paint.

Sounds like, at some time, a lacquer repaint was done over the original paint. The two types of paint flex differently, lacquer being harder and less flexible prone to checking. Yes, leave it alone until a complete stripping and refinish is done. You can tell those nit pickers that it is PATINA. :bird
Yeah man! I remember Patina from TiaJuana...and yes, I did have to pay a bit more for her than normal! :naug
