I got a "vintage car" tag. Why? It's $60, it's exempt from ALL taxes, and I never have to renew it. Kinda sounds like a no brainer to me, since MS will bankrupt you when buying tags. Tags for my 07 truck were close to $500.

I thought maybe the plates would stop everyone I see from asking what year my car is. That didn't happen.
They don't allow YOM plates here yet and the collector plates are ugly.
