The 58 and 59 are like what I'm thinking. Those are tempting. The prices are right too.

I don't like the 56 and earlier. They look to much like Chevy's. Too round.

My parents had a 68 Country Squire LTD. I witnessed that car did 120 MPH. A/C was ice cold.

Hands down, go for the '57. Find one that has patina and build up the mechanicals and interior, then drive it! I was actually looking for a '57 when I came upon this '65, and would still like to get into a '57 wagon.

That's a sharp wagon too.

I like that body style but ultimately want the older one. I'm still trying to figure out the differences in the model years.

I started this whole idea when I saw a 61 falcon wagon on local Craigslist.

That thing has a radiator of justice. Might be 30 inches wide, look at the engine bay photo.

Not cheap. No idea on completeness but it is close. Might be too round for your taste and it is better suited for paint than rat rod but keeping a look out for ya!

What does it say about modern cars that rides everyone scoffed at a few decades ago now have such design appeal? I mean who would have ever thought old, boxy station wagons would now look so cool.

I like that one! I'd consider adding it to my collection.
And I too remember when you wouldn't be caught dead in a wagon. They had that soccer mom minivan vibe, but now they are a hot trend.
Maybe someday minivans will be cool? No. I doubt it.

Found a possible candidate. It's in Minnesota. About 4 hrs from me. Only problem is getting over to look at it. I'm working every day for the next 2 weeks.

I'm going to contact him and see if he can send more pictures and find out the rust condition.

And he has no title. Not sure how I feel about that. Have to do a bonded title.
