It's the connector to the Flux Capacitor. It's how you steer time.
He posted the same question on the SN95 board so I assume that range.
You'll have much better luck on one of the more modern mustang sites. We're just a bunch of early classic buys for the most part. Sorry

If you have an automatic , this connector could be for the clutch pedal position switch.

Yep...sure can. It's this part: https://www.oreillyauto.com/flux-capacitor?q=flux capacitor It's what you use to steer your vehicle through time. I used to have one in my Delorean, but the last time out I crashed it into a wall. Man I miss that car and the places it took me.

My guess would be the cruise deactivator switch. Why are you asking? Just curiosity or is there some issue you are trying to track down?
