Re-restoration in progress for some vintage racing

So the car finally left yesterday headed to its new home. The winning bid on BaT fell through (someone from Canada). I contacted the next high bidder and he still wanted it. Sold it to him for his high bid and we loaded it up yesterday morning and watched it head on down the road. Going to a real great guy who wants to get into vintage racing. Will probably join our club and another that's closer to his home near Waco, TX. The best part is I'll still be able to see the car at the track!

What an ordeal trying to get the car to a deserving person. It removed what little faith in humanity I had left. Just happy that it finally went through. It's weird though...it's the first time since 1984 that I have not had a Mustang in the herd. I'll just be satisfied with the Bronco!

And no, you're not getting rid of me!

Actually I did. The side effects from all that chemo just got to be too much. Can’t concentrate long enough, my heat tolerance is gone and so is my short term memory. I just didn’t want to be on track and f up and have something bad happen or worse, hurt someone else.

Sure is convenient to be able to now blame all his ever existing inadequacies on his prior illness. I guess pre-diagnosis driving ineptitude was also a symptom just unrecognized at the time, huh? Talk about lame excuses.
 
The guy that bought the 66 is now selling it! He got transferred to the left coast and is selling the 66 and a newer GT350 track car. Tomorrow is the car's 60th birthday and it's getting passed around like a $20 whore :D

He bought it cheap, he should make a killing flipping it!
 
I'm sure it's track times improved dramatically as well which should make it more appealing to potential buyers
