Hi! I was a little nervous letting someone else get behind the wheel of my treasure, my pride n joy! Also not having a rear view mirror; I thought it could fail the inspection, it didn't. The young man was extremely careful, and he and the crew were pretty much impressed especially when I raised the hood! I'm still amazed by my motor compartment! The paint job isn't perfect by any means, and I can be critical of my own work but would prefer no one else say anything that I already know! My brakes work well, just need to play with the SSBC adjusting valve maybe to tune it in, but it does stop well and straight! The motor sounds great, but lacking power off the takeoff, once going~ it is quite FUN :yah, we've (you and I) have discussed this, but I'll contact tech at Edelbrock and see if they may can guide me. I'd like to think I can figure it out but with little hints! the front and rear glass is not glued in yet and the chrome moulding is not on either of course, but Im' worried to go too fast and the glass get sucked out! I do have a friend that owns a shop~ he said I can leave it with him; I trust him with my Mustang that has not been named yet. If anyone can make it run like it should, it's him! What's exciting~ now I can drive it anywhere! or at least not too far from home until I trust it! I'm ready for some car meets!

ps; the grill is in, but the angle of the photo makes it look like it doesn't have a grill.

That's just an illusion~ stripes do not go into the radiator. As I said, a grill is in place, but the angle of the photo makes it look like there isn't a grill! Difficult to capture that grill in a photo! Thanks everyone!

So.........If it's nice this weekend, can the Mustang come out and play?

Great work Dne'. You should be proud of yourself. I can't wait to see it! :pbj

That part took me a while... of course, now that I do trust the car, it's winter :rant

Have fun for all us snow-bound types!

I took the Trans Am over to have it inspected on Saturday. I tested everything before I left the house and the horn worked at the house. At the station though it wasn't working for some reason but it passed anyway. Guess the guy felt bad because he flooded it and I had to come out and start it for him? Guess he is used to fuel injection cars? LOL! Generally speaking, with the older cars if they roll in under their own power, have lights, stop properly and roll out under their own power the inspection guys won't ride you too hard.

I think they all are if they are stockish....I added a Currie posi unit with 3.55 gears and it helped a lot but even now my car's real push you back in the seat power range is from about 20 mph to 60 mph...still a little sluggish off the line but if you get it rolling along and floor it you're over 60 pretty darn quick.

Car looks great Dne!

I am very happy for you DNE! At least you've got the inspection behind you and now it's just tweakin' that beauty to your liking.
This car of yours is just so unique and cool looking.... much respect. Hope maybe I'll see this car someday! Peace. (Mr. Daver but he ain't no Jack Sparrow .... just another Pirate :skul ... ha... so keep your Stang under lock and key mate! arrrgh. :bowdown )
