Reverse lights won't go off.

No matter what gear the shifter is in, they're staying on.

I've taken a drill bit through it to make sure it's adjusted okay, but the lights still stay on.

Any ideas?

Is there any way to test it to see if it's good?

Pull the connector and measurement the "resistants" .
It should only be on the low side when it is in reverse.
Other then that ,it should read "very high" resistant ( can't find the word )

Could be entirely electrical---a jumper is installed instead of being connected to the NSS on the tranny.

No extra wires connected to the nss or reverse lights

Not even the jumper under the hood? Do you have a picture of that connector?

Got a new neutral safety switch installed today.

Problem solved.
