It sucks here in NY. We have Safety and Emissions. (no emissions on anything classic). I run a small repair facility and do state inspections. I'm not sure how NJ is saving money by not checking those things, are the inspection stations state run? NY just screws the shop doing inspections. If we do inspections according to the "book", it would take over an hour. For a $21 inspection, the garage sees about $13, that is if your $2500 state inspection computer is payed off...."Daves69Coupe" said:NJ only check emissions now. But they found out the state could save millions in time saved by not checking all those things, so now you just worry about emissions. And as far as classic cars(25years or older) go no inspection ever.
