Road to Super Bowl 49

Come on yeah got to watch. This is the time when they can't slack off and wait for the next game.

I love football but honestly have zero interest in this one. This has NEVER happened before. Always found some reason to want to watch. Makes me sad.:( I think this has been a big issue for a lot of people starting with the conference championship games. If you recall all the week leading up to those games all the NFL news coverage was about coaching moves and other stuff. No one outside those four teams devoted fan bases seemed to really care! I blame burn out on coverage of Peyton, the Pats, Hawks and Rodgers. Most fans are just tired of the never ending worship of them by the media types.

Certainly was a disappointing loss for the pack. But at least I'll have some sales gains now. And I never watch the Superbowl anyway. Usually working all day.

I did hear that ticket prices took a huge drop as soon as the pats were in it. Kind of goes to show not many people really care about this one.

GO HAWKS!!!!!!!!!! Watch Russell Wilson grow into something special.

Can't stand Dallas, Pittsburgh, bears, 49ers, and Cam Newton. We all have our teams but anyone who says they are not going to watch a super bowl is full of crap.

Think I will sit in the ole recliner with my favorite drink.....entertainment is headed my way.

I can honestly say that I will not waste several hours of my life watching two teams that I couldn't care less about play football. I will just google the commercials the next day! While Wilson has talent.....Sherman is a thug that deserves no attention.

You would think someone that has a higher education, IIRC graduated from Stanford, would try to come off as more than a loudmouthed thug. But guess it just goes to show that even education only goes so far.

From infinity and beyond.

Never argue with a Moron, they'll just drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

If the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy.

I live in Washington and really dislike the Seahawks. I think their fans are as arrogant as Richard Sherman is. They did not deserve to win this weekend and I hope they play like that against the New Endgland Cheaters. They will get blown away and I will just smile. Now I have to wait for my team to take the field next year. Go COWBOYS!!!

And there is that Hawk fan attitude that has gotten so old at this point. And yes, like Ken, I will be missing my first SB this year. Just not interested in the least. Not even a small sub-plot story to keep me tuned it. Look at ticket prices dropping. Why is that if people are still interested? Not bashing your team just stating how I feel and the facts.

Wilson is not special nor will he be in terms of great QBs. He found himself in a good situation and has enough intelligence and talent to make the most of it. That doesn't make him special. Special shows when a guy puts the team on his back and carries it. Again and again. Case in point, they are going to the SB despite his play. He did all he could to lose that game. Kearse getting inexcusably open down field and Wilson chucking a long ball is not a credit to the QB. Shame on the DB/safety and kudos to the receiver for taking advantage.
The 'Hawks have two things that make them go. A very good defense and a great running back for the style they play.
I find it ironic that you dislike Newton so much when he paved the way for guys like your Wilson. I am not a fan either but face the fact in terms of overall QB play Cam is better than Wilson.

I will not be watching. I have no interest in either team. I usually never watch the Superbowl. Its all rigged anyway.

You wouldn't even know who Cam Newton is had he not stolen a computer and get kicked off the Gator football team!

NFL regular season QB rankings

Rank PLAYER, COMP/ATT/PCT/YDS/YDSperA/LONG/TD/INT/SACK/Q-rating/YDSperG

10 Russell Wilson, 285/452/63.1/3,475/7.69/80/20/7/42/95.0/217

26 Cam Newton, 262/448/58.5/3,127/6.98/51/18/12/38/82.1/223
And in summary, Newton passes for more yards, runs for more yards and scores more TDs on average over their careers each year than Wilson. Not fair to any player when judging "who's better" by selecting a single campaign's numbers when each has had multiple years in the league (Cam 4 Russell 3).

Again, not a fan of either. Just pointing out some facts. I don't think Cam a great QB either. Not even one of the better ones. Just that if I had to run a team and had to choose between them he is the one I would choose. Why you ask? Sure, here goes.

1. He has the size. Can see over the line. Can play as a pocket QB if needed.
2. He has the size. If needing to run the ball has the body to gain those yards at contact if necessary.
3. He has the size. He has a strong arm.
4. He has evolved his game over time. He no longer tucks it and runs at the first sign of trouble.

I am not a fan of scrambling QBs. Maybe because of watching Rodgers run around until someone finally gets open and chucks up the ball to burn my team all too often. History has shown that that type of play maybe exciting and may win some games but in the long stretch the classic pocket QB teams win most times. You can see it in the SB this year. Brady vs Wilson.

I'll be watching the Superbowel movement to watch the commercials. I'll head to the kitchen to snack during the game.
