Show me your horse blankets

Or at least tell me what you recommend for fender covers / protectors while you are working under the hood. I need to pick something up soon, just want to make sure whatever I get is not going to mess up the new paint. I need a car cover too if anyone has a recommendation (indoor use).
 
I just use the standard Mustang logo fender cover but would not leave anything on a freshly painted car for any time. Be sure the paint is set good.

"Will not harm your paint" sounds good. Probably good advice you gave not to leave them on the car very long at a time, especially early on.

I'm looking pretty hard at the Evol4 car cover too. Anybody use these?
 
I use more of this type...they tend to stay on the fender with the seam at the edge of the fender roll. From the top seam, there is a piece over the fender top that is not shown here.

I've used two fender pads, the "fender gripper" type but it leaves some type of residue on my paint which I need to remove with detail spray so I don't use that pad any more. The other type I use is a type similar to AZPete and it does the job.
 
Well, I went ahead & ordered the Covercraft Evolution 4 car cover. Now for the fender covers.

Depending on your reason for a car cover its best to not cover it at all. Putting cover on and off will leave marks..very slight but it will.
Then of course if you are going to drive it , like you should such care isn't necessary. :lol

Mainly just want to keep the dust off of it. Even in the garage, the black paint seems to attract every stray particle. Maybe you are right, I should just drive it real fast & BLOW the dust off :)
