Smoked chuck roast

Decided to smoke a chuck roast in the smoker today seeing as how the painting in the living room is done. I rubbed it down with butter and McCormick's Chicago Steak rub and in the pan underneath it has a mix of water, salt, pepper and a dash of steak sauce. It's been cooking since 9:30am and the potatoes have been on since 10:30.Nice and juicy looking so far. I'll take it off about 5:30 when the wife gets home. Did mix in some hickory bricketts with the regular charcoal to try them out.

Looks great, reminds me that I have 3 pork shoulders read to smoke. I just wish it was 107 outside.

Do you ship Fedex overnight to NorCal? I'm hungry after looking at the pic.

Yeah, Gary Busey will hand deliver it to you too............

Came out nice and tender. My wife is starting to enjoy this as she doesn't have to cook as much. The potatoes were kinda questionable as they tasted almost boiled. Next time I throw them over the coals in the offset instead of the kettle part.

Looks better than my PB&J that I have for lunch. I smoked a top round this past weekend still gotta cut it up and eat it. Yours looks good. Thinking about doing a tri-tip roast soon stuffed with garlic, peppers & onions.

She had gone on a work related trip about a month ago and I did a bone in prime rib. I let it smoke for about 8 hours. Had rubbed it with butter, rosmary, salt and pepper and stuffed a peice of onion and green pepper in it.Did the same thing with the catch pan, little bit of salt and pepper and some A1. Not only did it fall off the bone, but was tender and juicy and the onion and pepper just seemed like it melted into the meat. She doesn't like onions so I have to experiment when she's not home. One of the best gifts my wife ever got me was the smoker.
