So, we've decided to raise puppy # 4 for CCI

One of the things we work on is getting the dogs comfortable around statues, large objects, etc...

There’s a store in Ames that has lots of large stuffed animals.

Wow, I haven’t keep up with this thread very well.

I just returned from Kansas City after dropping Lucas off with his new puppy raiser. Long story short, National office changed his turn-in date from November to February 2020. We’ve given him all the training and experiences that we can in Ames. Another PR was in desperate need of a dog, so we made a plan change to give Lucas the best opportunity to become a service animal.

The house is empty and I miss the little knucklehead, but know he’s getting great new experiences. This is always the toughest part.

Good looking pup. I could never do what you do with those dogs. Too hard to give up to someone else.
Great job raising him to be a good help to someone.
