So, what is everyone doing for New years?

Just gonna be my son and I sitting around staring at each other this year, unless he has friends over. Was thinking about picking up tickets to the Dallas Stars game like we have done in the past, but then saw the local ABC affiliate is hosting a New Years eve bash right outside the stadium, and I dont really want to fight the crowds. It will probably end up being me surfin Stangfix and him playing Modern Warfare 2 on the PS3.......

Probably not much. Just duckin' all the bullets that fly around the area and/or working on the car til wee hours of the morning.

No big plans here...there is an alumni deal from the HS I went to at a local watering hole but I don't really do the bar scene any more, not to mention I didn't think about it again after getting the invite until it was too late to figure out who'd watch the boys.

Deb and I are hanging out with my best bud and his wife. Gonna chow down on some fresh shrimp, crab cakes and brews. There are "some" things nice about being in Florida!

My niece's wedding went off last night without any family disasters. Working real hard on filling up on shrimp, crab cakes and oysters :pbj before I head back to more snow :rp

Supposed to be going across town to a friends place for dinner and drinks. Not gonna be fun getting there though because I live 3 blocks from Times Square and there will be several thousand tourists blocking the way to my buddies place. Normally I like living here..... not on New Years.

Me and the better half, sitting in the RV, have an early drink (CC and Coke), go to bed.......wake up in the morning to make sure the new year made it.

Carol and I are staying home with our 2 Golden Retrievers, Fred and Sadie. They hate the fireworks.

I'm gonna spend the evening avoiding all the people that need an excuse to get drunk. I'll give 'em New Year's Eve and Cinco De Ho Ho in exchange for the other 363 days.

Go to a friend's place, watch them get drunk and act stupid, then try to get home without being involved in a gunfight....yay Memphis.

Darn, you guys sure are a boring bunch.

I plan on stimulating the local economy.

I'll be getting "one beer away from falling down drunk" at one of the local clubs that's putting on a big deal New Years Eve party. I'm guessing the women will end up half dressed as we'll likely end the night over at the area's "premeire" strip club and I haven't had a lap dance in 2010.... yet.

Heading out to Carmel Valley Ranch Resort which is in, you guessed it, Carmel Valley, CA. Hope to see John's (opentracker's) rides cruisin around town.

If you see some crazy young guy trying to flag you down John go ahead and run me over so I can take a good look at your suspension. LoL

Playing golf at the resort on Friday and then Trap shooting with my new Remington 870 on Saturday.

With all the chaos these last few weeks I am really looking forward to some hang out relaxing time.

I'm going to finish unpacking from my cruise, do the laundry, and take my dog for a walk so we can see the lights. Then I'll get bombed on champagne at home.

Due to the aggressive drunk driving enforcement in this area, coupled with the thirsty nature of many of my neighbors, the general consensus is stay the hell off the roads if at all possible. Toward that goal, the tradition in my neighborhood is a progressive dinner where you start with appetizers and cocktails at one house then go to another house for salad, then to another house for the main course and so on until we get to the last house where we have dessert and a white elephant gift exchange along with champagne at midnight. This occurs over several hours and a fair amount of drinking goes on during all these stops so, by the end of the night, a number of folks end up staggering or crawling home. Not sure what the final head count will be this year, last year by the end of the evening we had about 25 in our living room for the the last stop.

I just found out that my new engine is ready to be picked up. I will go get it tomorrow afternoon and then start getting the rest of it ready for install on Friday!!!! I will take some time off tomorrow night to hang out with my wife and girls. It can't always be about the mustang can it?

Not to high-jack the post (which I'm doing) but was your business still intact Laurie?

Yep, it sure is. In fact, I spent yesterday and today doing a 190-acre survey with my assistant. Now I'm about to start on six small reports this evening. I haven't even had time to unpack yet!

Going to bed early as I have to be up shortly after 4 am to go to work. Hopefully the neighborhood parties will not interupt my beauty sleep because I've been told I need all I can get. :lol

I have a fairly loud box fan I turn on. It works fine for getting rid of the noise. I know that sounds weird but it works.
