Sued for working on cars in his garage

I do miss living in the sticks. Before Ames, my nearest neighbor was a mile in any direction.

Sigh

I built a demolition derby car at my residential home. first thing I did was cut out the exhaust. Neighbors were curious and came over asking what I was doing. no bitching at all. It is all in the relationships.

There sill always be some A$$holes. My place out in the country (74 acres). Have one neighbor 1/2 mile away that let the dogs pack and run wild and do not get me started on the stupid county commissioner that wants to take our water rights away (for the common good). He wants to put a meter on the well I paid for.

A few days after I brought my fastback home from my friend's house where we had been working on it, I wanted to do an oil change. I fired it up and moved it so I could access it easier. My neighbor next to me and the guy across the street from him came running over. They wanted to hear it again!

I really only had a big issue with the one neighbor and he died (of natural causes...)
There was another a few houses down that made a stink about my cars a few years ago. He ran for city council about that same time. I painted big signs with his name on it and a red circle with a line thru it. Put them up in my yard, he lost. Not sure i had anything to do with him losing but he has left me alone since.
I have a 97 year old lady next door. She complains about the leaves that fall off my trees going in her yard. We try to help her out whenever we can and she is not so bad. Anyway, I'd rather have NO neighbors!

I lucked out with having only two neighbors and they are both car guys. One used to be a Ford salesman when the Mustang first debut and he has a 64 convertible as well as a 55 T bird. He is constant building other cars as well. The other neighbor has a 12 car garage that houses his Mercedes gull wing, a 40' Ford, a 38' Ford and a couple of Woodys. No complaints from anyone and they love it when the boy is home and races down the street with his loud fastback or Mach 1. It pays to live in the country!
