I bought my 2003 Ranger over 6 years ago as a work truck. I have a company truck, so the Ranger was an extra vehicle. When the daughter started driving I found her a 2003 Focus ZTS. We had an Aerostar, that was sold after the Focus was bought. So the wife started driving the little truck (Ranger). We also have a 2002 F150. The wife's commute has never been very far, 2 to 3 miles at most. So the crappy gas mileage the Ranger got was never a big issue. If all 3 of us went somewhere it was usually the Mustang. She does not like cars, as a personal vehicle to drive. So something new was going to be a SUV/crossover type thing. The escape is not bad, but a little small in my opinion. The Edge seemed to fit the bill. She test drove a V6 and 4 banger. Then started looking at the inventory of the local dealers. I got home on Tuesday evening and she just got off the phone with a dealer that had one in stock for a price that she was looking for.
Knowing her it was best not to pass up an opportunity like that. So I got to do the test drive, ecobost 4, and I was surprised. 2016 Edge Titanium. So now I need to sell the Ranger.

The dealer had at least 6 GT350 on the showroom floor. One was an R, 108k

nice looking Edge. I have one for my company car and commute 160+ miles a day in it. They are comfortable to drive and much more road friendly than the new Escape!

Tim you said they had 6 GT350s. That's surprising for one dealer to have so many. Anyone have data on how they are selling...or not selling?

I saw several at the Knott's show in April. I was surprised that there were that many at the show and the average owner was in his early 20's. I have only seen one running around Northern California so far.

At your advanced age, Ken, I'm betting anyone aged 20-40 strikes you as a twenty something. :p Then again, wonder how I know that.

hey now...I resemble that remark! But to add credit to my comment, my 21 year old son was the first to make the observation about the age group.

Last time I checked (two weeks ago) there were over 500 '16 GT350's for sale on cargurus.com

Nice fleet there, 'Dude. I've been on a little vehicle binge myself lately. About a year ago, I traded my 2000 v6 Mustang for a 2014 F-150. Then about three months ago, my daughter wanted to sell her 2012 v6 Mustang so I bought that. And just last week I ran across a good deal on another 914, so I brought it home. The wife says 'No more! That's enough!"

The white F-150 is for sale, BTW, if anyone's interested

The wife loved her Edge...until my son totaled it. The upside was that even though the car was totaled, all he got was a nose bleed. Pretty darn safe!

Gary, can't see the wheels on your 914, but from what I can see my father had one identical to yours when I was in high school. I was super cool when I drove it to school! And other than my F150 being a 2001 (hence a different grille), my truck is identical to yours too (your white one)!

The garage is sturdy, just a little weathered on the outside...kinda like me.

Another angle...

Cool! Ours had these rims:

Thanks! It's a blast to drive. Minimal rust, strong running 2 liter, I fell in love and had to have it.

Skate board with a VW engine. They handle like they are on rails! Love 'em!
