You have to consider the type of careers those people are in, Craig. If you are operating a hot rod or bike shop the tats are more about a lifestyle rather than what drives/influences many of the people I am writing about. It's also a consideration of age. A fully inked out 25 year old is likely very different in life experience than say a 40 year old and that comes across in the interview process. And again, I am referencing actual real life, scientific data when I reference my company's testing results.
I am in no way saying a person with tattoos is lesser or not as equipped as a person without a tattoo to do a job simply because of the ink. I am saying the vast majority I have encountered are less qualified because of who they are intellectually and professionally largely do to the personality traits and decision making that was likely part of the process they went through when deciding to get all that ink/piercing.
To each their own is fine. Just don't blame everyone else when your choices limit your opportunities.
