A couple of us NorCal StangFixers will be working on a fellow member's 67 fastback while he's away on a business trip just to show that we are yes.....buds. Talking about trying to take a lollypop away from a child!!!

But before I signed up for us to do this, I wanted to ensure we had the correct body assembly manual.

Does the above look like we are on the same channel? or page?

Keep the car and send her back!

Yes its mine and I am one lucky SOB to have the Norcal gang here.

Last couple days, thought I'd do a jump start on this weekend's project.

Heater box ready for install. Core tested.

Preparing firewall with Second Skin's diamplifier pro sound deadening material. Next will be firewall pad, heater box, driver's fresh air vent and then heater controls. Second Skin will then be installed throughout the entire cabin.

OK, lets put this helpful NorCal group on the spot. Lets see the list of projects they hope to get accomplished and see how they did come Monday....

Make sure the openings for the heater hoses have no sharp edges. I sliced a new hose on one in the past just getting it all the way thru.

Good point there might be a couple sharp edges.

Looks Awesome!!!!!

Wha? You people doubt us NorCal fixers from completing our tasks? especially if we get a lunch out of it? Are you serious?

OK, here ya go.

Assembled heater box, test core --------DONE!!
2nd skin firewall---------------DONE!!
Install firewall pad
Install heater box
Install defroster ducts
2nd skin remainder of cabin

That's it. If we can find anything else to do between now and next weekend we will do so.

Heater hose holes - They are punched leaving a nice smooth flange with no ability to cut the hoses. The 2nd skin material is cut back far enough from the openings so it will not touch the hoses.

Yep....mine was punched holes too......still sliced a hose. Just saying to double check.

Are we doing any dash assembly such as hooking up the instrument cluster, heater controls, glove box, etc? How about any of the interior rear quarter trim?

Unless someone mumbles that phrase.... While we're at it..... :part

That is exactly what we hope will happen. I mean all these expert Mustangers sitting around with their thumbs up their backside, they need a challenge. Maybe we can talk the owner into letting us take a couple steps further.
