This option put a floor console in your Mustang. You could get it for either automatic or manual transmissions. This option does not designate the overhead console which was available with the Interior Decor Group option or as a stand-alone request.
"lethal289" said:Was the GT Option ever available on a C (289 2 valve) code from the factory in 1967?
"caspian65" said:Your question has been answered, but keep in mind that an A or C code GT in '67 would have had single exhaust from the factory, not duals.
"guruatbol" said:Not! I have seen many C code GTs and A code GTs while still in original paint! Never been repainted condition many years ago and they all had dual with the twin pipes in the rear with the GT valance.

I don't doubt that you have seen C and A code '67s with dual exhausts as have I, but the collective wisdom is that only the K and S codes came from the factory with dual exhausts. Don't forget that fog lights and GT exhaust tips were available as dealer installed accessories and no doubt were installed on quite a few non-GT cars over the years. [member]I recently found another fastback sitting in a yard. I talked to the owner, and its been there since the early 90's. It currently runs and moves under its own power. Owner swears its a factory GT, but he also said it was once a big block car. From what i can see, not originally. The door plate is lost, but the title matches the vin on the apron. 7RO2C car which explains minor rust and solid body panels, Has pony interior, 9 inch rear end, manual trans, and front disc brakes."tarafied1" said:glad to help, what are you up to?
"guruatbol" said:So the rebound plate is the part in the center of the blue car? It seems to be a bit smaller that the red one. That is what you are talking about, right?
