Weird one today

Owning a classic mustang is an incredible experience overall. The thumbs up, the waves, the horn honks, etc. Passing a fellow mustang or muscle car owner is pretty neat as well. The head nod, the "whats up" looks, etc. Today however I got a wave from a guy in a new challenger, and I wasnt sure how to take it. Its not the friendly wave of another classic owner. I waved back, but drove away thinking, "keep trying" or "yeah right". How would you have handled it or taken it?

My daily driver is an SRT-8 Magnum, which I think is pretty cool for being a STATION WAGON :barf I also have a few classic Mustangs which I drive as frequently as weather will permit. I have a hard time not waving at people in classic cars when I'm in the Magnum. I think people in late model muscle cars (including my Magnum, LOL, and the Challengers, etc) are kindred spirits--and you don't know what else he has at home in the garage! As long as the wave involves more than one finger, it's a good thing :vic

Quit being such an uptight nancy boy, people are just being "nice".

Must be an unusual concept down "there" :eek:mg

If he wasn't a car guy he wouldn't have bought a Challenger IMHO. I would take it as one car guy waving to another.
I would have waved back.

I think he was secretly copying you plate number to run thru MVD, find where you live, and steal your car while you are at work.....or....he forgot he was in his new car and not his classic when he waved. Your choice......

Maybe the guy in the Challenger was :ga and just saw a kindred spirit in the 68 :ecit

You never know what is in the garage. I currently have a new Camaro in the driveway. Cool and later this month a new Mustang, now I just need to rent a Challenger.

I want to drive 'em and then buy one of the three. SWMBO like the Charger better than the Challenger and we will likely get the Mustang, but gotta drive them all and make a decision. when the new one is paid for I get a new one, I am thinking a Challenger for me. I really like them.

Mel

PS. I forgot, I wave even in the bus....MH

my friend from ohio says if u get the finger, wave your whole hand and give them a bouquet of them! that way no one is sure of ur reply. wes
