Welcome kcode

Thanks for the warm and fuzzy welcome. This site was suggested to me by a member that I met at a NMCA race in Bowling Green. I've been around Mustangs since their introduction in April '64. Many have come and gone. But one I have kept since 1972, my Kcode coupe. I'll try to get some pics up in the near future.

Hey Mike, welcome aboard, I hope that must have been Joey (Fordrule) or me you remember. I'm just posting pics of my spindles on the MCA site, you want them here or there?
Well, looks like I'll post them here, I can't get the pic upload tool to work on the MCA site.
I measured 4.5" from the center of the LBJ to the face of the hub or rotor (same) on a C6 spindle for my '67. Let me know if you want me to measure to/from a different location.

Jon, thanks for the pics. I'm not really sure what my issue is. Both the cars have the same suspensions, lowered A arms, 620 springs, same shocks. When comparing the two when sitting static, the angle of the tie rods from the center link to spindle are quite a bit different. The 65 angle downward from the link to the spindle, but on the 66 with the 71 spindles are almost horizontal maybe slightly upward. This would have an effect on the steering as the spindle moves up an down. Gotta think some more on this one.

Are the '71 spindles drum or disc spindles? I can dig out a '70? spindle this weekend I have and get a pic of them next to each other to compare how the extension off of the spindle sticks out. I'm pretty sure they are different as far as straight, bent downward, etc. I think I know what type of pic you are looking for now.
Jon
